This is the first case of intervention in EU countries' borders after the coronavirus epidemic in Italy.
Authorities in the northern regions of Lombardija and Venato have ordered that schools and universities be closed for at least a week, while museums and cinemas have been closed and Venice Carnaval's last two days were interrupted.
Call for control of the border has been made by extremist French politician Marine Le Pen. She even accused her country government of not blocking flights with China.
France is the first country in Europe to report the first chance of death by coronavirus, referring to a Chinese tourist over 80 years of age.
