Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti for two weeks of governance has broken many taboos and overturned many principles, with which he had built his political career.
Kurti was always a major opponent of the late president, Ibrahim Rugova. In his statements, Kurti had even called Rugova a man who had worked against Kosovo interests.
Shortly after being released from Pozarevac prison, Albin Kurti had interviewed local media.
Kurti had named Rugova a failure in politics and as a person who had ideas to prevent and block the Liberation Movement, such as that of the Kosovo Liberation Army.
Rugova's <x0Ide, has been to prevent and block any dynamism of life of any Liberation Movement, or active resistance. That's not the Democratic League. It's an authoritarian relationship that's been leading a man for 12 years. So Mr. Rugova, who wasn't proven to be successful in politics“, had said Kurti.
But these and many other statements against Rugova have not prevented Kurt from changing his stance at all once he became prime minister. He will for the first time today bow before Rugova's grave.
