Theo Walcott has justified celebrating the goal against his former club, Arsenal, saying it has always been very important to mark you for the childhood club, Southampton.
The 31-year-old attacker, who had spent 12 years in Arsena after leaving Southampton in 2006, was unable to hide his joy after marking in the 18th minute in Wednesday's 1:1 draw at Premierliga.
Asked after the match for controvers celebration, Walcott said he had no reason not to celebrate after marking for the club he loves.
“I always feel that aiming a goal, no matter who you play for, is one of the best feelings”, Walcott said.
