Margaret Keenan, from Ennishhelle, said she felt the privileged “ ” who was the first person to receive the vaccine at University Hospital, Coventry.
Mrs. Keenan said: It's the best gift because it means I can finally wait to spend time with my family and friends in the new year because I was alone for most of the year.
I can't thank May enough and the NHS staff that have been following me extremely much, and my advice to anyone who is offered the vaccine is to get it if I can have it at 90, and you can do it.“
And U.K. Health Secretary Matt Hancock said that the moment the woman was taking the vaccine he had tears in his eyes.
According to him, today's event marks the beginning of the largest vaccine campaign in the history of the United Kingdom
Health Secretary Matt Hancock said he hopes residents of nursing homes will start vaccinating before Christmas.
It also calls on people to continue to be careful even to respect the measures taken for Covid-19.
