On 25 September, Gucati and Haradinaj were arrested as suspects by the Specialised Prosecutor's Office, with the support of EULEX and Kosovo police and transferred to the detention facility of Kosovo's Specialised Chambers in The Hague.
Haradinaj's first appearance as a suspect was held on 29 September, and Gucati's first appearance as a suspect was held on October 1st, while following confirmation of the indictment now begins phase of the preliminary procedure in their case, starting with their first presentations.
He was immediately asked if he read the indictment in a language that he understands, while his response was typical of Haradinaj: “I have correctly signed it, but neither do I read so. ”
