Special Court expected to review detention for Gucati, Haradinaj

Prior to making decisions on revising the detention of Gucat and Haradinaj, the court judge will examine the parties' parliaments in the case, writes Insander newspaper.
The Pre-Procedure Procedure Judge notes that Gucati and Haradinaj have been in custody since their arrest on 25 and 26 September 2020 respectively, and their detention was revised for the last time on 27 October 2020. In this case and in accordance with Article 41 of Law and Rule 57 (2) of the Orders, the next review of their detention should take place two months from the recent decision on the ban, respectively, the Prosecution Decisions, and therefore until December 27th 2020<18x>, a Special Court report said.
With this case in the report it says that “implementing Article 41 (10) of the law, until the end of a final act or until the release, after the last two months of the decision on detention, the trial of the preliminary procedure related to the case will consider whether there are still reasons for detention, and makes a decision with which the detention is extended or suspended”.
On 24 September of this year, two arrest warrants have been issued against Hysni Gucatt and Nasim Haradinaj later, even an order to transfer them to The Hague.
While on September 25, 2020, suspects were arrested in Kosovo. Gucati and Haradinaj were transferred to detention facilities on 25 September and 26 September 2020.
Others arrested by the Special Court are Salih Mustafa, Kadri Veselini, Rexhep Selimi and Hashim Thaci, all of these Kosovo Liberation Army leaders (UÇK), have been arrested by the Special Court under the claim that they committed crimes during the Kosovo war.
