Active police officials will receive an additional 300 euros -- from 100 euros for the past three months -- for increased commitment on the ground during the pandemic.
The Kosovo Police Union has welcomed this news.
However, the deputy head of this union, Shaban Tasholli, has said that the additional 100 euros per month do not take all members of the police, but only those on the ground.
Therefore, they have asked Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti and Interior Minister Agim Veliu to include all police officers.
“We have applied to the prime minister and Minister of Internal Affairs even earlier that this package is without partition. We have divisions, because they do not take all Kosovo Police employees from an additional 100 euros a month. They only get those cops on the ground, but we also welcome that it has become a completion of”.
We have written today to the prime minister and the Minister of Internal Affairs to consider our request to meet the other policemen who are not covered in the emergency package. We are about 10,000 members, along with civilian staff. We have asked that the possibility of all Kosovo Police officers receiving from 100 euros” be considered.
Tashloi, in the special edition in Klan Kosova, has indicated whether this union will take measures unless the demands made to the government are approved.
“Prime Minister [Avdullah Hoti] has promised that the package will be ongoing and we have the package now in three months. An additional 100 euros has been met. We have another promise since January, members of the police will have a shot at”.
We have received a return letter from the prime minister, who has promised that further requests will be considered. We've had four demands and a package. The extra hours are all paid until there's already a package left. Paco's only paid for the field police, but we want everyone to get involved”.
