The chairman of the Kosovo Pharmacists' Oda, Arian Jakupi, has reacted after it has been reported that northern Kosovo citizens are being vaccinated with antiConvid vaccines sent by Serbia.
Jakupi through a Facebook status has said that any procedure involving medical products without obtaining permission from the AKPPM is a violation of the laws of the Republic of Kosovo and also violation of the Brussels agreement.
That's his full response:
Vaccination in Republic of Kosovo
The vaccines are considered medical products and, as such, subject to authorisation for marketing . . After registering any import permission should be obtained for import, which is also obtained by the AKPPM.
As for supplying cities in the north, there is no difference to other cities, despite the tendency and demand over the years, but this issue has legally ended in Brussels in 2014, and these procedures apply to the entire territory of the Republic of Kosovo and to all medical products by any producer.
Any procedure involving medical products without obtaining permission from the AKPPM is violating the laws of the Republic of Kosovo and also violating the Brussels Agreement.
