Miftaraj, who was introduced as the Balkan player of Suhareka on Monday, is awaiting Switzerland's visa for family reunion. The rejection of the visa while part of Drenica had greatly upset Miftaraj. The footballer from Peja continued playing soccer in Superleague, which has started since he was a kid. He was even one of the best in Drenica.
I have had my options to move even outside of Kosovo. There have been clubs interested in Albania and Northern Macedonia, but I have not been interested in leaving Kosovo, I have wanted to continue my career here. The future is unknown, but my goal is to succeed with the Balkans. I've been waiting for a family reunion visa, but because of a mistake I couldn't get it. Now I'm waiting and hoping to get it by summer. It doesn't mean I won't go there too, but let's see”, He told Miftaraj on Tuesday about TIME.
Thirty-year-old Miftaraj has developed as football player at Pec's Besa. From Besa left in June 2017 to join Pristina. Pristina was among the most distinguished.
Pristina played for three years. With the team “and the White White Channel”, it has won two Kosovo Cups and twice has been in the race for the champion's title. Miftarian has enjoyed respect in all the clubs he played. He says he's happy with his career so far.
I've been able to do better, but I think my career has worked out very well, I've played big teams like Besa and Pristina and now the Balkans. I've had a great time at Drenica's for six months. I played 90 percent of my matches in Pristina. It's all gone well, I won two Cups and twice we've been in the title race. I think we deserve to win a title, but I hope that now I can get to the Balkans”, says Miftaraj.
He says moving to the Balkans is another good career step.
The Balkans in the autumn part were led by coach Ismet Munishi, until spring will be run by Bledi Rock. Under Munich's direction, the Balkans finished in second place with 38 points, three short of leader Drita. Miftaraj hopes with the Balkans to win the title he failed to achieve with Pristina.
