Daka said they have a constitutional obligation to organise elections and that when it will be announced even against the state of pandemic it will organise them.
And we're always prepared, in fact we already know that next year is the electoral year and we've started all the preparations, which the Constitution” imposes on us, says Daka.
“Yes, we are already used to having early elections, all parliamentary elections have been early and of course that if they are announced we will have the obligation to organise”, the CEC chairman added.
The Constitutional Court last night has ruled in favour of the Vetevendosje Movement's request about the validity of MP Ethem Arifi's vote for the selection of Hoti Government, with which the country will officially head towards early new elections.
MP Etem Arifi's vote was crucial to the election of the Hoti Government on 3 June.
The Constitution has found that, under Article 71.1 of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, in contact with Article 29.1 (q) of the General Election Law, the person convicted of criminal acts with a decision of firm form in the last three (3) years cannot be a candidate for MP, nor win a valid mandate in the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo.
