During yesterday, an exile reported to the police that 5,000 francs were stolen from thieves in his car.
And this case has led police to appeal to all citizens for caution.
Over the last 24 hours, there have been cases when several cars, mostly with foreign license plates, after the glass has been broken, thefts have been committed after various items, such as bags, clothing (pallto), cell phones, different documentations, etc., which have been left in visible spaces inside vehicles, parked in various locations. So we appeal to all citizens, with special emphasis on fellow countrymen, that in their cars (in visible parts, in the seat) they don't leave things that could be because the perpetrators break cars to get to them, say the police appeal.
This is the full announcement:
Kosovo police (PK), with the aim of informing public opinion and preventing car theft cases, especially those with foreign license plates of our fellow countrymen, who in the last 24 hours were the target of breaking and stealing, address this official news release for the media and appeal to be cautious and not to leave different items visible on the inside of vehicles.
During the last 24 hours, there have been cases when several cars, mostly with foreign license plates, after having been broken down, have been carried out by thefts, after various things have been observed such as bags, clothing (pallto), mobile phones, different documentations, and so on, which have been left in visible spaces inside cars, parked in various locations.
So we appeal to all citizens, with special emphasis on fellow countrymen, so that in their cars (in visible parts, in the seat) they don't leave things that could be because the perpetrators break cars to get to them.
Kosovo police continue to remain committed to whitening each case, identifying each suspected person, with the aim of implementing its goals, offering security and quiet environment to all, as well as preserving public and private properties.
Police, in this case, thank citizens for the co-operation shown in the best of public safety in general, and in particular private property preservation.
