Osmani: Voting on transformation of KSF into military will remain marked in Kosovo's new history

Two years ago, 106 Kosovo Assembly deputies voted in favour of legal amendments paving the way for the transformation of the Kosovo Security Force (FSK), in the state army and with what cases the Defence Ministry was established.

And on this day, it's also reminded of President Vjosa Osmani's duty.

Through a post in her official profile on the social Facebook network, Osmani wrote that December 14th of 2018 but also the votes of Kosovo's Parliament deputies will remain in our country's new history.

Osmani's decision by MPs has called one of the highlights, stressing that transforming KSF into the military has been a joint effort to empower citizenship, protect sovereignty and confirm our aspirations for NATO membership.

Two years ago, the Kosovo Assembly, with 106 votes, approved the necessary legal changes that paved the way for transforming the KSF into the Kosovo State Army and establishing our defence ministry.

This vote, will remain marked in our Republic's new history as among the highlights of our joint efforts to empower citizenship, protect sovereignty and confirm our aspirations for NATO membership.

Our boys and girls in the KSF are continuing to make us proud and keep Kosovo on the highest pedestal by exalting our flag and our joint Army. It is our national duty to contribute to the further empowering of our army so that in cooperation with our strategic friends and partners, we can see it as among the most successful armies that contribute to peace and security in Kosovo, the region and beyond.
