Authorities have not yet managed to find the cause of the disease that led to a large increase in the number of hospital admissions in the town of Ellu.
About 170 people have since been released from the hospital, but those who remain there include women, children and elders, officials say, broadcast Periscopi.
The infected are displaying a series of different symptoms, including vomiting, trembling, and loss of consciousness.
The state government says it has set up a control room that works 24 hours to deal with the situation.
An investigation into the causes of the disease is ongoing, since the deputy health minister said the tests showed that we had no water contamination.
The person who died was a 45-year-old man. /Periscope
