The former leader of the Laborist Party said his Peace and Justice Project “will bring people together” to create a future “that works for the majority, not for the minority”.
Corbini, now an independent MP after the report denouncing his leadership for neglecting anti-Semiticism in the party, will launch this initiative in the coming month, writes The Guardian, Pryskopi.
The goal of the Peace and Justice Project is to bring people together for social justice, peace and human rights in Britain and around the world. This project exists to create space, hope and opportunity for those who are activism for social justice and for the future that works for the majority, rather than the minority,” added Corbin.
He said the project would promote global co-operation, climate justice, self-determination, democracy and human rights by working with social movements and unions to build a network of progressive change.
Rafael Correa, former president of Ecuador, welcomed the initiative by saying: “Coronavirus has again shown us how neoliberalism is unable to deal with the major crises our societies face. Now, more than ever, we have to be united in our wars worldwide against neo-liberalism and inequality. ” /Periscope
