The football legend passed away last Wednesday at the age of 60 after a heart attack.
The sports world honored the Argentinian icon, until his son has now asked all clubs, in particular Barcelona, to retire the number ten to the fanele.
“In the teams he (Maradona) has played, the number of ten should be retired to the fanele”, Maradona Junior said.
I think this should be done, including Barcelona. No doubts”
The “would be a special honor for my father, who has contributed greatly to clubs where he played”, he added further.
But the number ten in Barcelona currently holds another club legend, Lionel Messia, and it remains to be seen whether such a request will be considered.
