Tommy Docherty, who managed 12 clubs, including Chelsea and Manchester United, as well as Scotland's national team, has passed away at age 92.
Former manager was the winner of the FA Cup with Manchester United.
Docherty, dubbed The Doc, passed away on Thursday surrounded by his family after suffering from a long illness. As a player, he made over 300 presentations for Preston North End and won 25 matches for Scotland, before continuing to manage 12 different clubs.
He led Chelsea to the League Cup 1964-65, won the FA Cup 1976-77 with United over a five-year period and managed one of the club's best players, George Best.
His time at United United continued from a one-year period to the top of Scotland, which came after a season in Porto in 1970-71.
Docherty is considered a very influential figure in Manchester United, but he is also regarded as the man who converted Chelsea into a big club.
