In the Democratic League of Kosovo, they believe they will preserve the votes of last October 6th elections.
The expectations at Isa Mustaf's party are positive for a winning result in the extraordinary elections expected to be held early 2021. They base this on Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti”'s good governance, but they don't guarantee they will have it mandated again for the first executive.
LDK Secretary-General Arba Abrashi in a campaign for KosovoPress calls all polls and claims that the party he represents will be below 20 percent in the election.
Our expectations are very positive, I believe we'll save them, maybe raise the votes we have behind us. What we hear is factory, fake news, what we've seen a couple of years unfortunately where political or individual parties, or some dressed in the analyst's clothing share false news... we aim best at the team and the best people in the country”, he says.
Abrashi, who is also minister of Infrastructure, says they have not yet discussed who will lead the party's election list. While I even praise the rule of Prime Minister Hoti.
We don't have the discutu, Prime Minister Hoti is doing a good job and is taking over at a difficult time. He was often accused of how he ruled, but it was a Constitutional Court decision, just as the Constitutional Court now showed us, but it has made work very good”, Abrashi says.
And for setting up prime ministerial candidate, Abrashi says they will decide after the chairmanship meeting, expected to be held in the coming days.
We will invite a meeting of the leadership next few days, and we will hear members of the mayor's leadership and orientation and these with the head of the branch. After that, we expand all”, he said.
The extraordinary elections are expected to be held in late January, or early February, following the Constitutional Court's decision on the worthlessness of the Hoti government.
