The knee injury and 34 years of age no longer favour the Spaniard playing at high levels, so he has decided to take the big step.
Even reports say that Pique's decision has been made following the embarrassing loss of Beyerh's Beyrich in Champions in August of this year.
We remember that, Pique already has managerial experience: he is actually the president of the Kosmos Group, who has won the rights for the Davis Cup.
