Foreign Ministry: We're very busy releasing Blerim Maqasten.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspore (MPJD) through a communique for the media has indicated that it is engaging intensively in Serbia's arrest and detention case of Kosovo citizens Blerim Maqastena.

MPJD estimates that Serbian authorities have not behaved properly for this event, neglecting communication and sharing the necessary information in the case, and are not taking into account the circumstances under which the border crossing has been made, where the two citizens of Kosovo, due to weather conditions, have unwittingly made their way into the territory of the neighbouring country.

MPJD to understand that one citizen has been released, while the Maqasten is continuing detention measures for even 30 days, through the Special Diplomatic Mission in Serbia, has submitted formal application at the front of the EU. The MPJD will provide all necessary institutional support for this case and will submit continued requests to the European Union, as the mediator of Brussels' dialogue, to influence authorities in Serbia, to free Kosovo citizens and to pass it on to Kosovo authorities for further treatment.
