It was scheduled to begin in October, but due to measures taken by the Government of Albania, it is not known when it will begin.
Unique League Director Dren Zatriqi has spoken about what is happening to the nationwide league and when expected to begin, Periscope broadcasts.

“Liga Unik is expected to start at the moment that this is allowed by competent organs, in this case the Government of the Republic of Albania. However, we have already prepared two scenarios and the moment we have the green light from the relevant ministry we will organise the start of the championship in record time. I say that because all racing arrangements have been successfully completed. These include establishing identity in the Unic League, legal and administrative issues, competition regulation, as well as marketing plan”, Zatriqi said initially.
On the other hand, he shows which teams from Kosovo and Albania will participate in the Unic League.
Since the beginning of the Unic League has been designed to start in the first championship with 8 teams, with 4 of which consists of the Kosovo Championship in basketball, while four are from Albania's basketball championship. Based on the same concept, teams have been selected on the basis of the final weight of national preliminary championships.
“Foundation Fonts ( The FSHB and FBK have nominated the teams from national championships. ”
“From Kosovo are nominated: KB Peja, UN Sigal Pristina, KB Rahoveci and UN Golden Eagle Star. With these clubs, we also had direct meetings where we presented the plans and the prosperity of the races. The craving for participation in Ligen Unic is evident from these clubs, and they hardly expect to have the best performance in this competition. ”
“As far as clubs from Albania are nominated: Goga Basket, Vlasnia, Teuta and Partizan. It is noteworthy that because of stoppages imposed by the Government of the Republic of Albania, club activities are suspended and as such cannot be changed unless the situation with Ovid19 improves”, Zatriqi concludes.
