Albania's midfielder has stopped contracting with the Chinese FC Shenzhen team yet without playing any matches.
He stayed in China for about 10 months, but given the Chinese championship break, he never debuted with this club.
After two months as a free footballer, however, Xhemail has reached agreement with the new club.
Swiss media have reported that the Albanian has reached agreement with his first career club, FC Zurich.
The agreement has already been reached and its formalisation will take place over the coming days, as soon as the midfielder arrives in Switzerland.
The 34-year-old left Zurich in 2007 and has since played for many different teams and championships.
Bolton Wanderers, Turin, Parma, Naples, Galatasaray, Genoa, Bologna, Montreal Impact and Shenzhen were Xhemali's teams.
Xhemaili is one of the most valued players in Switzerland, as he has played 69 matches with the helvetist representative who scored 11 goals and will be a big transfer for Zurich.
On this team, Xhemail will join his countrymen as Iron Kryeziu, Benjamin Colol, Fidan Aliti and Tony Domgjoni.
