Coci lawyer: Albin Kurti has the right to run for deputy in upcoming elections

Koci believes Albin Kurti can run in the new early elections, expected to be held at the beginning of 2021.

Albin Kurti can run in elections that will be held early in 2021, although on probation, for these reasons:

Criminal work was committed in 2015, when Penal Code No. 04/L: 082, which in Article 100 paragraphs 2, predicts that the legal consequences of punishment are not created when fines, parole, or judicial counsel is pronounced to the chief.

New Penal Code, No. 06/L-074, it's been changed. Article 93 paragraph 2, now it is predicted that the legal consequences of the sentence are not created when fines, or judicial warnings are pronounced on the head.

The parole sentence with the new code has legal consequences, as opposed to the prior code.

However, legal provisions are read and interpreted systematically.

In Article 3 of the new Penal Code (the same article is in the prior Code), it's estimated that:

The law that was in effect at the time of the crime (point 3 par 1) or,

If the law in power changes before the pronunciation of the firm form decision, then the law that is more favourable to the head is applied to (point 3 pars 2).
