Company sales “Hongqi”, car brand and leading Chinese car manufacturer “The FAW Group Co., Ltd.”, has doubled in the first 11 months of the year with 178,100 units, the company announced itself. In November alone, the automaker sold 25,000 Hongqi cars, registering a 100% increase year-on-year, showing the increase in demand for vehicles, suggests “Xinhua”.

Sedan Hongqi's brand, meaning “red flamer”, an icon in China, was founded in 1958 and used as a parade vehicle during national celebrations. In recent years, “The FAW Group” has accelerated the expansion of its product portfolio.

The new E-HS9 SUV Hongki, which targets the high-level automobile market, is expected to enter the market this month. Hongqi's sales last year exceeded 100,000. The company has set up sales targets at 200,000 vehicles this year and 600,000 in 2025.

“FAW Group”, founded in 1953 in the town of Changchun, capital of the province of Yildi in northeastern China, is considered the cradle of the Chinese automobile industry
