Lightweight champion Khab Nurmagomedov continues to insist that he was eventually retired from martial arts.
The 32-year-old Russian confirmed he was resigning from the sport after winning Justin Gaetje in October. At the time, the decision appeared to have been affected by the death of Khahabi's father, following complications as infected with Coved-19, the Periscope broadcast.
In recent weeks, however, Khab has also questioned the level of opponents the UFC can offer if it decides to return.
Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier are expected to meet at UFC 257 next month. However, Khab says he has no interest in confronting any of these after the two had overcome them earlier with thud.
This statement prompted the champion of another category, Rafael Dos Anhos, to post images of him, being just seconds away from Khahabi's grip when the pair encountered.
