Austrian Eurodeput Harald Vilymsky has said that Kosovo's membership in the European Union does not come in expressions as does Kosovo's visa liberalisation.
“A Kosovo entry into the EU does not come into expression, as well as liberalisation of the visa regime for Kosovars”, Vilimsky has said, writes “Ots.at”.
The reason for this is that even the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee (AFET) has published a Commission report on the prepared perspective for Western Balkan countries.
“Even the AFET report on readiness confirms that Kosovo must strengthen efforts to fight corruption and crime. It is a country where organized crime prevails, drug and organ trafficking. Criminals and terrorists hide there with illegal weapons. A visa liberalisation will only expand criminals' businesses to EU countries”, Vilimsky has said. “
He has added that Kosovo is a failed state that has nothing to ask for in the EU.
Kosovo is a failed country, which has nothing to ask for in the EU. Both the situation in the border region with northern Macedonia and with the case of the Serb minority in northern Kosovo, is more than uncertain and could again detonate the situation in the Balkans. Conflicts can also be carried to Austria. For us, Austrian security is more important than membership in the EU of a failed state and mafia such as Kosovo”, he has said.
