With great concern, he has awaited the former KLA leaders' trip to The Hague, former O ambassador The SEU during the Kosovo war, William Walker.
I worry about Kosovo”, Walker said, as he commented on the dramatic developments of today's day.
He has stressed that today “is a sad day for Kosovars”, while the positive response of former KLA officials for special invitations has been named as the best “that could have happened”.
On the other hand, he has had criticism of the Specialised Prosecutor at The Hague. Walker has mentioned how Slobodan Milosevic's subordinates who committed crimes in Kosovo now have significant leadership positions in Serbia and are not tried.
I said that earlier, I'm not a special prosecutor's fan. It's been five years, and we already have a number of deeds... My criticism of the whole process is basically. Seven or eight KLA leaders have already been charged with having officials in important positions in Serbia who committed crimes and have no charges... For me it's not a balanced process in terms of punishment and prosecution... It is bad news for all Kosovo citizens”, Walker said in RTK.
Former spokeswoman KLA, Jakup Krasniqi last night was sent to detention of Specialised Chambers. To the same destination, on a military plane, former war associates -- former KLA political chief Hashim Thaci, former KLA intelligence director Kadri Veseli and KLA member General Staff Rexhep Selimi -- were launched today.
