Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq has said the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh has witnessed the danger of a frozen conflict.
He at the news conference today has announced the conclusions after meeting with QUINTI and EU ambassadors, while stressing that the best solution that can be achieved is through dialogue and that it is better to achieve as soon as any conflict occurs.
“Many people can think that the situation around Kosovo is better now than before, due to internal circumstances in Kosovo, and that greater pressure cannot be expected on Serbia by December and January on the part of major powers. The situation in Nagorno-Karabakh has shown that a frozen conflict can escalate into a real disaster when someone melts it”, Vuciq said, B92, adding that it needs to be learned from this. One of the lessons is that we shouldn't let our children face frozen conflict. Compromise does not mean that we will achieve it, since two sides” are needed for this.
He added that no matter what happens, you should ultimately rely on your own strength.
For this Serbia will continue to strengthen economically and militarily. A conflict could happen to us, we should be careful about the future of our children and the future of Kosovo and Metohija”, he added.
