According to Ibishi Serbia is using Russia to supply weapons, reaching the budget of over 1 billion this year.
Serbia is currently in partnership for peace, but it is not interested in fully membership in NATO, while exploiting all of this in turn because in a sense it will not measure weapons of combat equipment, so it is armed by Russia, Belarus, China and Turkey and with weapons that are actually Russian producers. In this form it also exceeds the budget of many countries in the region. It had over 1 billion in 2019, and it has the same budget for 2020.
Former Military Ibishi, for Online Economy, also spoke of the threats Kosovo has received from Serbia in terms of a possible war. According to him, the international community has kept silent regarding these threatening statements.
Ibishi argued that the Kosovo Army should be armed because Serbia continues to develop maneuvers near the border.
“We are not using these opportunities through our friends, they for an attack on their part in Serb municipalities raised the issue even in the Security Council, and we are not able to raise the issue of such a threat to the Security Council, but also to the European Commission. The international community has been very passive in this case to react to these threatening” statements.
“Normal, which should be armed by the Kosovo Army because it is not only the issue of arms, but Vuciq continues to develop maneuvers near the Kosovo border, where he also invites the Slavic brotherhood. It's good luck to have KFOR here that enables a development of KSF capacities by the end of ten years, but it takes the political side and the functional aspect of KSF to be well ahead of the threats coming from Serbia that continues to be threatening for Kosovo”, Ibishi said.
On the other hand, he said Kosovo is not yet in the partnership for peace phase, even though our country is armed force.
“faces capacities and in this phase of transition, normal that we are not yet in the peace partnership phase even though we are armed forces. Even policy and functional aspect should be much more active on this issue because we are able to go both in terms of weapons and in the development of capacities in terms of quantum skills and real threats coming from Serbia”.
But he does not see any concern after these threats, because he says it is only a game of Serbian president who is making against Kosovo.
I don't see any concern because Vuciqi as the minister of information knows where to address this and know how far this threat can go. He also sends the threat to Kosovo. It's his methodology that he knows how to play and we have to react. And the EU and international military presence here should also raise the issue to the security council to be vigilant and address the issue because he knows the limit as far as he goes and turns back so there is no need for concern”, Ibishi said.
