Scandal with corpse, Mitrovica Hospital Director dismissed

Three days ago the media reported a corpse that was left in the room with patients alive for several hours at Mitrovica General Hospital. After this case the USKKUK management has made a decision to sack Enis Istrefi, who has held the position of a U.d. Hospital director, Schneta newspaper reports.

The paper has secured the decision of USKKUK General Director, where Istrefi is said to have failed to fulfill his duties.

“Following the tasks and responsibilities of the same from his work contract, Dr. Enis Istrefi has not done satisfactory work tasks, the same has not shown accountability in public statements, and has not respected the committee's decisions on managing pandemic at the level of USKKKUK”, the dismissal decision said.

In the case of the corpse stay in the room with patients, Mitrovica Hospital had placed responsibility on the Ministry of Health's Emergency Operations Centre, as well as waiting for the outcome for Covid from the National Institute.

After Istrefi's dismissal, the USKKUK management has named gynaecologist Dr. Sadic Fyza.
