Following media reports that the Remdesiviri drug is being sold at high prices in the country's pharmaceuticals, the Kosovo Competition Authority has begun with the preliminary investigation.
This has been confirmed by AKK chairman Valon Prestreshi himself, who said investigators have already begun with preliminary procedure.
The Kosovar Competition Authority has begun a preliminary investigation into the Remdesiviviri bar after it was reported to the media, that companies that have dealt with this product have abused their dominant position by setting excessive prices or pricing gyexes. To prove and strengthen these allegations, AKK investigators have begun preliminary procedure”, Prestreshi said.
He assured that the AKK, based on the Law for Protection of Competition, would take all necessary steps to shed light on those allegations.
