Kosovo Afarism Oda(OAK) rejects new Kosovo government measures against COVIDD-19, with which the Pristina police hour and several other municipalities are envisioned.
OAK Board Chairman Skender Krasniqi said at a news conference today that they are against these measures and that any such decision according to him is unacceptable.
The “Businesses are in serious condition, as any closure further deepens their survival. New measures for police hours are unacceptable for OAK”, Krasniqi said.
Even OAK Secretary General Diamonds Elshani said the government's latest measures would harm businesses, thus increasing the number of those failing and the number of unemployment.
Elshani says a solution should be found for businesses, as losses are significant for companies and the state budget.
“The measures for protection from COVID-19 are respected by citizens and businesses, but there are no restrictions on operating companies”, Elshani said.
In addition, the OAK expresses concern about not passing the draft economic recovery bill, which envisions attracting the funds of ten per cent from the Trust on the part of Kosovo citizens.
The worst measures are set for municipalities in the red zone such as Pristina, Podujevo, Peja, Gjakova, Gjilan, Ferizaj, where economic activity is allowed to take place by 0500-19 o'clock, where after this hour any activity will be closed and there will be restrictions on the movement of citizens.
The first group is lower - risk or green - colored municipalities where the number of infected population of 100,000 is up to 75 within a week. In the second group are the orange-coloured municipalities where the number of new cases in a week ranges from 76-150, while the third red-coloured group where the number of new cases exceeds 150.
These measures will take effect from Friday to 7:00, when even the closure of municipalities in the so-called red area begins.
In municipalities that are part of the first group or in the green area, economic operators are allowed to work from 0500-2000 hours, while in municipalities in the orange area from 0500-18 o'clock.
While medical teams will be returned to all border points, higher education will be fully passed on the platform online, while for pre-graduate education the manuals developed by the Ministry of Health will be useful, I KSHPK and KAS.
The government has warned that all businesses that do not respect the measures taken will be closed for at least three months.
Otherwise, four victims and 733 new Corleone cases -- the highest daily figure since the outbreak of the epidemic in Kosovo in mid-March -- were registered yesterday.
