Nadal won his first trophy at Roland Garros in 2005, but problems with his left leg caused him major problems.
“As soon as I won my first trophy at Roland Garros, I was told I could no longer play tennis because of a deformity on my left foot. The pain was so strong that I was forced to sit in the middle of the field and hit the ball. Finally, I managed to get out of”, Rafa said.
Rafa also spoke of rivalry with Federer.
For me, this is one of the greatest and most true rivalries in history. He's my friend. Rivalry is good for tennis, we both fight for the rest of our lives, and in a way we're like”, the Spanish tennis player said.
