Liverpool says goodbye to Melwood's historic training centre after more than 70 years in which players who have written the history of not only red but also English and international football have been trained.
Unable to further expand the facility, the club decided to move to another seat, namely Kirkby, 10km from Anfield.

The AXA Training Centre, as it was called for sponsorship reasons, cost 56m euros and covers an area of 9,200 square metres in which there are three football fields, a gym, two weight rooms, a swimming pool and rehabilitation equipment and hydrotherapy.
Coach Jurgen Klopp said: “I have mixed emotions. On the one hand, I'm happy to go to Kirkby, on the other hand very sad to leave Melwood.
I'm gonna miss him, but that's how it's supposed to be. Melwood was a truly important place in my life. But Kirkby will be great
