The proposals include keeping individuals convicted of terrorist acts behind bars for life, electronic surveillance of people convicted of acts related to terrorism after the release and criminalisation of religiously motivated political extremism.
Kurz said the measures, which will be brought before parliament in December for the vote, take a double approach, targeting both terror suspects and ideologies who push them.
