The Kosovo Police's “Sindicate, following the announcement of budget cuts in the security sector (police), reacts sharply in terms of planning the draft budget for 2021 for Kosovo Police. Our reaction comes after the welfare and income of police officials are directly affected. Thus, we urgently verify the initial budgetary cuts in wages and hires for the Kosovo Police”, said their response.
From this union, it has been said that in meetings that have had the country's official institutions, commitment has always been given and promise that there will be re-evaluation of legislation regulating the welfare of the police official, including health insurance.
The Kosovo Police's “Sindicate, following the announcement of budget cuts in the security sector (police), reacts sharply in terms of planning the draft budget for 2021 for Kosovo Police. Our reaction comes after the welfare and income of police officials are directly affected. Thus, we urgently try to review the initial budgetary cuts in wages and wages for the Kosovo Police. In the meetings and discussions we have with the officials of the country's institutions, we have always been given pledges and promises that there will be re-evaluation of legislation regulating the welfare of the police official, including health and accidental insurance, daily travel, and other responsibilities for the Kosovo Police”, it has been said further in response.
In addition, planning the draft budget for 2021 indicates the opposite, since reductions in wages and wages for police have been anticipated.
“Planification of the budget project for 2021 shows the opposite of that, because wage reductions and wages are envisioned for our organisation. So we as the Kosovo Police Unions, WE REAGING ASHWN, and in no way do we accept these cuts. Our work and engagement is continuous, we are engaged at any moment and for any job required in the country, not only for tasks envisioned under the Kosovo Police's legislation, but also in assistance and assistance to all other institutions and organisations in the country. Through this response, we seek from the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Parliamentary Commissions, the country's prime minister, but also from every deputy of the Republic of Kosovo Parliament, to influence the better draft budget of the Kosovo Police. How can the budget be cut when the number of police officers has increased, some generations have graduated this year and another has been invited to attend training? ! How can there be cuts when police must be paid for the many extra hours?! How could there be cuts when the police need equipment to handle police work? ! ”
Through this response, the Kosovo Police Union has asked the Minister of Internal Affairs, Parliamentary Commissions, the country's prime minister, but also from every deputy of the Republic of Kosovo Assembly to influence the improvement of the Kosovo draft budget in good Kosovo Police.
“We have expected the pledges given to raise the welfare and dignity of the police official, including regulation of health insurance, accidental insurance, acceleration of the wage law review, payment of staff under the legislation in force and transport, to find support, while the opposite happens, budget reduction is planned! We seek to get involved in the Emergency Pocon as promised by the prime minister and not to have stops in this direction until there are police indicators in the fight against pandemic, so we ask the Finance Ministry to implement that promise, commitment. We hope that those involved in discussions and decision-making about the 2021 budget will take into account our demands, the KP Union and its membership, will use all union forms to protect and advance the health and social welfare of KP”, the response concludes.
