So he indicated through a Facebook post, where he said there could be no lasting and long-term regional co-operation, without inclusive access, equal treatment and mutual recognition among countries.
Kosovo's “Name is an extremely important step, not only in the process of economic development and interethnic reconciliation in the Western Balkans, but also in increasing overall regional capacities for faster membership in the European Union”, writes Cakaj among other things.
PTotal option:
Today, at the virtual meeting of foreign ministers within the Berlin Process, I have asked Bosnia and Herzegovina Foreign Minister and Serbia's Foreign Minister to recognise the Republic of Kosovo as soon as possible.
There can be no stable and long-term regional co-operation, without inclusive access, equal treatment and mutual recognition. In that sense, Kosovo's recognition is an extremely important step, not only in the process of economic development and interethnic reconciliation in the Western Balkans, but also in increasing overall regional capacities for faster membership in the European Union.
We have also called for quick visa liberalisation with the Republic of Kosovo, taking into account all necessary technical conditions. Any delay in this process will undermine credibility in the European Union's decision-making capabilities in the Western Balkans.
