Fidan Aliti from Switzerland: Crenar defending Kosovo's lantern

Aliti has acknowledged that he is not satisfied with Kosovo's recent results, but has added that developing sports in a new country like Kosovo is very positive.

Kosovo last week closed the second edition of the League of Nations with only one victory in six matches played under the third group in League C. She was third with five points.

The development of football is very positive for a new football nation like Kosovo. Even if we have not achieved the results that we had set for ourselves as our goal in recent months, I still see many good times in recent years. I am proud to have already played 30 international matches for Kosovo and thus contributed to these positive developments. The 27-year-old defender was lent to Zuerichu by Swedish Kalmar. Zuerichu has his purchase option in the summer of next year by Kalmar, whose team Aliti joined at the beginning of last year and with whom the contract runs until 2022. He has talked about why he decided to return to Switzerland, where he took the first steps of this sport, and for a time was also part of the first Luzerni team. After leaving Switzerland in 2015, Aliti continued her career with Sheriff Tiraspol, Slaven Belupo and Skenderbeu.

“As a new player I saw an interesting opportunity to move abroad. The Sheriff is champion in Moldova and I wanted to prove myself in a successful club, which also regularly plays in Europe. However, unfortunately, I was hurt and that was the reason for borrowing in Croatia to Slaven Belupo”, Aliti added, who estimates up the past two years of Skenderbeu (2017-2019).

“Time in Albania was the most successful for me. I became champion, won the Supercup, and played the stage of European League groups. On this team I was able to learn many things that were important for my further development in football”.

My family also lives in Switzerland and I wanted to return home after a few years abroad. I'm very comfortable here and I've been warmly welcomed to the team, which is why I hope to continue with the”, is Aliti, who is a defender who never fails to fight the opponent.

Aliti, before debuting with Kosovo in June 2017, had two more presentations with the Albanian National, where he achieved a goal.
