Modernna and Pfizer brought hope for the end of the coronary pandemic, after announcing their vaccines were 94.5 and 95% effective respectively. Meanwhile, volunteers who have received potential vaccines have spoken of the side effects they have experienced.
Jennifer Haller, who was injected on March 16th with the Modern experimental vaccine in Seattle, said she experienced only slight side effects.
I took two doses of vaccine by four weeks apart. My arm was very hurt the next day, after the vaccine, but besides, I didn't personally experience any other side effect”, she said.
Haller was the first person to receive a Moderna vaccine, as part of the first human test of a vaccine to prevent the virus.
Meanwhile, California resident Daniel Horowitz, who participated in testing Pfizer's-19 vaccine in September, described flulike symptoms.
The U.S. Department of Human Health and Services says the most common side effects are a sign that your body is beginning to build immunity against a disease.
