Valentino Rossi has tested positive for COVID-19, so he will miss this weekend in the Aragon MotoGP race to be held in Spain.
It's the motorcyclist himself who confirmed that he has proved positive through a post on his social networking account.
He took the second positive test, as on Tuesday it resulted negative in the first Corleone test.
Rossi has already self-issuanced at his home in Tavolia, Italy, and will lose the race to take place in Spain.
When I woke up I didn't feel well, I had a fever and I was very tired, I immediately called the doctor who tested me twice,” posted Rossi on Twitter.
I'm very upset to lose the race in Aragon, I'm also upset and frustrated because I've done my best to respect protocol, the test I had on Tuesday was negative, I've been self-insisted since my arrival from Le-Mans (France),” he added.
“Anyway, there's nothing I can do to change the situation, I'm going to follow medical procedures already, and I hope it will pass as quickly as possible,” concluded Valentino Rossi
