Justice Minister Selim Selim Selimi, through a text on his Facebook account, has written about the US Embassy's response to Pristina, saying that the process of selecting new members of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council and prosecutors has been fundamentally broken, lack of transparency and conflict of interest. Selimi has said the US will remain the key partner in the area of rule of law, and the American Embassy's decision today has met with concern.
Selim has even thanked the American Embassy for supporting the change of law that will improve the work of the Prosecutorial Council in the justice system.
We remember that the American Embassy in response calls on all sides supporting the justice ministry's efforts to complete the Functional Review.
“Changes in the legal framework on which the Prosecutorial Council is based are necessary to establish transparency and justice in this system. Therefore, we call on all sides to support the justice ministry's efforts to immediately complete Functional Review”, react.

US to remain key partner in area of rule of law
With concern I have been awaiting the US Embassy's decision to withdraw from the election of new members of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council. The Prosecutorial Council is an independent body and as such should seriously reflect on the criticism of our most strategic partner. Transparency and avoiding political influences is necessary. Politics, hands away from justice! I thank the U.S. Embassy for supporting the amendment of the law issued by the Funceal Review, which will improve the work of the Prosecutorial Council in the justice system.
