Milot Rasica is likely to leave Werder Bremen before the passing summer deadline closes Monday evening, according to Frank Baumann, the German club's sports director. But no club is close to reaching agreement for Kosovo.
For Kosovo representative Milot Rasica, it has been repeatedly talked about joining Aston Willa this summer, but so far the club from Premierliga has not been able to reach agreement.
Rasica, who is not part of Kosovo for the October matches, has not played since the starter due to a knee injury, but which has already healed and is restoring physical form.
This has been an angry summer for the 24-year-old, as his departure to a club that participates in the Champions League has not been realised.
RB Leipzig, with which he had reached agreement in April, refused to pay 20 million Werder for his services, so the deal failed.
The only club in the race for him now is Aston Villa, who has declined to meet Kosovo's personal demands, however.
But, Baumann says the odds of Rasica selling by tomorrow night are still great.
The odds of him leaving are still huge. I stand behind this”, Bauman said after Bremen's 1:0 victory over Armina Bielefeld on Saturday.
