The Pristina municipality has taken a step towards advancing the rights of this community.
Pristina's Municipal Assembly has approved the municipality's 2021 budget and mid-term budget framework for the period 2021-23.
This point was approved by 26 votes for 5 abstentions by all political party groups, besides the Vetevendosje Movement that abstained, writes the news.net.
The budget amounts to 86m euros.
While most of the LGBTI community is forced to live a secret or double life with continued fear of discrimination, the Pristina municipality is aiming to make the community's activity more public.
