Ahmeti has written that the situation with wandering dogs is alarming.
The situation with wandering dogs is alarming in every municipality of the Republic of Kosovo. Once again last week all the municipalities through the Association at an emergency meeting with AVUK requested emergency crisis exit strategies, but we ran into deaf ears as if it were just administrative matter”, Ahmeti wrote.
He has written that the Food and Veterinary Agency has received a 1.3m-euro budget to address the issue of stray dogs, but the situation is even worse.
“AVUK has received a 1.3m-euro budget for the whole of Kosovo on this issue, but today we are worse than we have been. Law requires stray dogs to be treated and KTH HOOVER: Only a certified vet can decide if he's sick. Despite the hundreds of thousands of euros spent even by the municipality, this issue cannot be resolved by separate municipalities. This requires comprehensive strategies and emergency steps now”, Pristina's first wrote.
Ahmeti has asked the president, prime minister and MPs to either give full responsibility to municipalities, or to declare emergency situations to address the situation.
A pregnant woman was bitten in Pristina today. Mr. President, Mr. Prime Minister, MP: Either give us responsibility to the Communists, full responsibility, or state the emergency to handle the situation! When we have victims, let us not mourn! ”, Ahmeti wrote.
