The Northern Macedonia Interior Ministry today issued a statement informing the public that all necessary measures have been taken for organising and playing the World League semi-final football match between the national football teams of northern Macedonia and Kosovo on October 8th in the National Arena, ”Todor Proeski” in [...]
The Interior and MV Ministry, within its competencies, in co-operation with the Macedonian Football Federation and other competent bodies, acts towards ensuring the safety of participants. All measures and activities have been undertaken to ensure the safety of other players and participants after arriving in Skopje, during the match and after the match. The MV's Interior Ministry also informed the public that, in co-operation with health authorities, all necessary measures have been taken to respect protocols for protection from the spread of Covid 19
At the same time, once again, they informed citizens that, in line with recommendations from the State Health and Sanitary Inspectorate and Government Locations, the presence of an audience at the stadium is not allowed. They have appealed to citizens not to organise a match forward.
Only by respecting protocols for protection from the spread of Avid 19 will we help normalise the situation as soon as possible”, the UK communiqué of Macedonia says among other things.
The Interior Ministry is also afraid of incidents that could happen, taking into account the nature and history of the two protagonists of this challenge.
” We call on fan groups, with which most internal departments, i.e. The Department for Prevention, held meetings, refrained from incidents, the use of hate speech or other rule-and-peace breakdowns, because it will be strictly sanctioned”.
