Disaster unites, Turkey offers Greece assistance for earthquake, comfort one another

“Sapo called President Erdogan to express my condolences for the tragic loss of lives by the earthquake that struck our two countries”, the Greek prime minister wrote on Twitter.
“Whatever our differences, there are times when our peoples need to stick together”, he added.
On the other hand, the Turkish president told the Greek prime minister that Turkey is ready to provide assistance to Greece, if necessary, writes Anadolu.
Later, the Turkish head of state returned the Greek prime minister to Twitter, writing: “Thank you, Mr. Prime Minister. I express my condolences to all of Greece on behalf of me and the Turkish people. Turkey is also always willing to help Greece help heal its wounds. For two neighbours to show solidarity in difficult times is more valuable than many things in life. ”
