A day before meeting with the prime minister, ARKEP Board member and his wife were taken into custody by police

Eagle Pula, a member of the ARKEP board on Friday morning of October 16th, along with his board colleagues, would be part of an important meeting, which he also hosted, with Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti. But things about him began to go wrong the day before that meeting. He and his wife [...]

The board member of the Electronic and Post Communications Regulatory Authority, Shqipim Pula, on Thursday, October 15, 2020, was in trouble with the police at 16:40.

This, as reported in Online Reporter.net, stopped for countering by a police traffic unit in Pristina that had come out to regulate traffic and toll created at the capital's renowned “m Flamur” circle.

But Pula refused to obey police orders. So the latter were forced to arrest him. As if that were not enough, his wife's reaction, with Pula in her car to police officials, forced the latter to put him in handcuffs as well.

To Pula Eagle and his wife, D. Shehu, after sending them to Pristina's “police station”, the case is opened for “Pingim of the official person to perform the task”.

But the arrest against them did not last long, as a prosecutor allowed the case to go into regular procedure.

The suspect's m/k has been arrested since the same one has ignored police officials' orders, with alleged f/k cases obstructing the suspect's wife from carrying out official office. At the prosecutor's decision the case continues in regular procedure”, the police report reported.

All this event happened the day before an important meeting that Pula and other members of the ARKEP board would have in the prime minister with Avdullah Hoti.

Arriving at the Friday meeting, which Pula led to in absentia, now of a leader of the ARKEP, enabled the prosecutor's order that the case go into regular procedure, which therefore implied his release, as well as that of his wife.

The paper has tried to get an explanation from Shqip Pula for the incident in question, but the same has not responded to Friday's questions.

Until, at the morning meeting of October 16, 2020, with Prime Minister Hoti, Pula as a board member, along with the rest of the directors of the Board of Electronic and Post Communications Regulatory Authority, assured that “Kosovo will stop using 5G equipment, provided by incredible vendors, on their communication networks”.

“Aty where there can be such equipment, the country's respective institutions will be committed to removing them”, Hoti himself reported after he waited at his office for ARKEP representatives, as the most competent organ in the field of electronic communications.

With them, the prime minister said he has also talked about the important role they have in preserving national security, maintaining public order, preserving the state border, sustainable and reliable functioning through relevant state institutions and co-ordinating inter-institutional actions.

ARKEP Board member Shqip Pula, has sometimes been part of media reports on the scandals he has caused. Part of the Board at ARKEP took place on January 12, 2016.

In one case it was unanimously recommended for dismissal by the Parliamentary Commission for Economic Development, Industry and Trade. But that was not the case.

Prior to his commitment to the Electronic and Post Communications Regulatory Authority, Pula was expelled from the Kosovo Diplomatic Service in 2009 because of a scandal at the University of Brygi in Belgium. So long he had failed to complete the magistrate's programme as a stock exchanger of the European Integrity Ministry.

And part of another scandal occurred when he wanted to become a veteran The KLA was not even at war.
