Barcelona coach Ronald Coeman declared that his team is better than people think. He made that statement after 3-0 victory over Celta Vigo in La League on Thursday. The Dutch coach has begun vigorously in “Camp Nou”, with his team winning the first two games in the championship. Koeman is convinced Barcelona will meet expectations:
We've done a great job, I'm very proud. We've been working on a lot of discipline. Tonight we've played a smaller player and made good chances. I'm so happy. It was important to talk to the team about the end of the first part of the game system. We were very compact. Eventually, the result was righteous.
I can't comment on what happened last season. From day one as a coach, I've seen the players very hungry. They have been trained with great intensity, play as they are trained. Today they've been showing karal until the last second, in a difficult field. We're fine physically.
Like any coach, I need time, but the team is much better than you can think. We got six points, we scored seven goals and we didn't get any. This shows that we're growing”.
Coeman was diplomatic when he was asked about Langlet's red, at the end of the first part. Instead, he focused on the team's response to the field, with ten players: It was a foul, but you can argue whether it was the second yellow card or not. It's a judge's decision, not to be discussed. It's more important to know how to play with 10 players”.
