Two clubs after Shaqiri, one from Serie A

Two clubs reportedly have expressed interest in Gerdan Shaqiri, with one of them from Serie A.

The journalist close to Liverpool's club, James Pearce, has reported that two clubs have opened negotiations with the English club for the transfer of 28-year-old.

Last night Jurgen Kloppi had decided not to include Gerdan Shaqiri on the challenge to Arsenal in Carabao Cup.

That's what Cloppy talked about last night in a statement about Sky Sports.

“Some were not included. This is the period of the year when some things happen in the background and you have to react, that's what we've done”, Klopp said.

Clubs that have expressed interest in Shaqiri have not yet been specified.

Liverpool hopes to collect 22m euros for Shaqiri, which he had purchased from Stoke City two years ago for 14m euros.

During this period Shaqiri has faced numerous injuries, until there are only 42 presentations for the club from Anfield Road.
