Break the world's fastest car record

A not - known American automotive manufacturer broke the speed record by kidnapping the world's fastest car title.

The SSC North America reported that its production, the super-veture Tuatara, reached the speed of 508km per hour during two different trials.

Tested on an 11km strip of land on a Nevada highway, it also broke the record of the greatest speed on a public road, marking more than 532km per hour. Two independent specialists were according to the SSC witnesses to the new world record.

Tuatara, which opens its doors with the butterfly system, 1,750 horsepower from a V-8 turbo engine.

Her aerodinemic model was inspired by aircraft. The company says its creation took more than a decade of research and development. The SSC, founded in 1998 in Richmond, Washington, plans to produce 100 super-veture Tuatara for sale.
