A view of Kobe Bryant helicopter burning

Kobe Bryant died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, Los Angeles, writes Periscope.

Kobe was traveling with at least three other people on his private helicopter. Five people have been confirmed dead. TMZ reported that among those killed was basketball player Gianna's daughter, known as Gigi.

Eyewitnesses told the media that they heard the helicopter engine burning before it crashed.

In the video published by the TMZ, flames and smoke covered most of the scene by the ruins.
